Clincher

I went down to a small local cemetery earlier to see if the the recent temperature fluctuations and rainfall had encouraged any of the wax caps to be found there to fruit. None to be seen, just a couple of Boletes and this Milkcap. It is one that was there when I went down a few weeks ago which I had done my best to identify using a key and my microscope. I'd narrowed it down to 3 possibilities, but today, I checked what tree it was growing under. It was Hornbeam, which clinched the ID as Lactarius circellatus. My photo shows clearly how Milkcaps get their name.
