Mardale head

A late afternoon visit back to Hawsewater allowed me to walk up Branstree and Selside Pike. I had looked at them two days ago, and had half thought about tacking them onto the end of the walk, but as I walked 10 miles I thought it was a bit much to add another 2300 feet of climbing onto the end of the day. It was a good evening walk, if a little boggy in places, and the final descent back to Haweswater brought me to this wonderful old ruined bothy, with the lake in the background.
