Behrouz- City Exchange 


On the opposite side of the square from the church (yesterdays portrait) there is Behrouz, the money (ex)changer. He very kindly agreed to add his face to the project. Originally from Iran he's been in Denmark for 31 years - the reason for this was the bloke in the multiple portraits behind him. I also got a quick 10,000 year history of Iran and some water melon. Which was nice.

All about the money - A sad day at Carlsberg
Mainly because Putin is such a prat, much of the badly timed investment in the Russian market is not yielding a dime. Even after a decimation of staff earlier this year (1 in 10 lost their jobs) they have now decided to pull the plug on the Brewhouse project. This was a total renovation of an amazing building that would have become the new "Visit Carlsberg" attraction. It's been five years in the concept stage and just a month ago it moved into development. Now it will just be boarded up and everyone who has been working on it will be fired. Not a good vibe in the office. Kinda glad I work for nothing at the moment.
