Heron

Early evening, I took my eldest for a walk around the lake. Its something we enjoy. Gives a chance to chat without the younger two, and we both enjoy spotting the birds. Usually its Mallard Ducks, Moorhens and Swans. Today, this chap showed up! Its the first time I've seen a heron this close in the wild, and it was brilliant to be able to take photographs of him. He was quite intent on catching something.
