The Glue Pot, Swindon.

A bit of a trailing around kind of day...Marlborough in the morning to collect one set of glasses ( it was the really early time of 10 am.... Kids rolled out of bed at 9.30, so we had breakfast in Waitrose.....)

Afternoon in Swindon- O wanted her guitar restrung so Holmes Music was the destination.

We walked over to the Railway Village- The Glue Pot is a traditional ( spit and sawdust in the olden days) pub. The pub gets its name from the railway coachbuilders who would bring their gluepots with them when they took their breaks and would place their pots on the central stove to keep them hot; unfortunately, health and safety has put paid to the stove.
