Culloden.........

......... is the only battlefield that I have visited as far as I can remember. I have been a few times, and it draws me back, although I can't say I like the addition of the visitor centre and the tourists that it attracts. 

 It has always seemed a sombre place, with simple stone markers for the mass graves of the men who died there.  This is the Cairn, raised in 1881 by the landowner, who also marked the graves.
