The Baboushka Challenge

Heidi is quiet and shy so when I suggested to the volunteers that they should all try to find out at least one of the Baboushkas' names and spend some time with them, she shrank back saying, "but it's so scary!"
Today, however, she decided to go for it and so, armed with knitting needles and wool, she made friends, reminded herself how to knit and even drew a lovely picture of her mum and dad, brother and sister to tell Jenia about her family back home. Heidi was quite comfortable now and showed Jenia her drawing of her dog and new puppy. Jenia assumed these were her 2 house cows!!
Oh well, an easy mistake to make in Moldova where animals have to justify their keep.
