Lillies

I was given this big bunch of lillies last weekend and they are now almost all open, filling the room with their heavy scent.
A meeting to discuss the details of our Gala Book Launch at the end of September was enlivened by our hostess suddenly announcing that it was time for refreshments. As it was half past three, I expected a cup of tea, but no!
A chilled bottle of Prosecco was opened and pieces of delicious fruit cake were offered! This cake was made to the recipe which was used for the 100th anniversary celebrations of the W.I. this year.
Thanks Jenny, that certainly made the meeting much more fun!
