The eyes have it

And yet another Bee on Lavender, sorry, but we’ve had such a busy day  ….

Lovely neighbours lent us their pressure washer whilst they are away on holiday – we're watering their garden, but thankfully not looking after the hamster!!!  We got all set up only to find there was a vital part missing, oh no … but after trawling the neighbourhood and more nice neighbours we very gratefully borrowed an even bigger pressure washer which enabled us to get on with the job of giving the decking, slabs and fence panels a real good overhaul, albeit rather late in the season!  It was very, very hot all day and very humid and we were soaked to the skin and very dirty!!   The finished result of our efforts looked wonderful though, but perhaps we needn’t have bothered really as in the early evening there was a humongous cloud burst with spectacular lightening and barrel rolls of thunder.  Hope it hasn’t undone all our good work?

Exhausted now,  but whilst we have had a lovely and safe day our hearts are going out to all those people who have died or have sustained grave injuries from the unfortunate Hawker Hunter which crashed today at the Shoreham Air Show - how awful.  Our thoughts are with everyone and their families.  Extraordinary to think we get up each morning and really don't know whether or not our card has drawn the short straw by the end of the day??
