Exhibition Space

A beautiful day today (and much more blue sky than in evidence in this shot) so our pre-planned trip to Southwell Minster to see an exhibition of landscape photographs was very timely - apart from the hordes of other folk trying to get onto one of the Newark roundabouts. The photographs were impressive but their setting even more so and I was a bit ashamed not to have been there before having lived relatively close for 19 years. The stained glass and the Chapter House ceiling were particularly beautiful (as evidenced in the extras) as was the peace of the Education Garden next to the Old Hall. So a return visit will definitely be on the cards, though perhaps not on a Saturday  when everyone else was either heading for the coast or for the shops.
