Pigeons in the maize

There must be plenty of maize seed amongst the stubble as there are plenty of pigeons feeding amongst it. I startled them as I walked past this morning on my way to see the daffodils.
The daffs are being picked tomorrow ready for Daffodil Day on Friday.
They are right on target. They are along the front of a paddock here but also around several magnolia trees in the paddock and are looking stunning.
