walks with my dog

By mingamo

Old favourites.

This is one of my grannies peonies which we dug up from her garden when she died years ago. We have moved the corms dug them up broken pieces off to give to people and chucked them into different types of soil. As long as they are not planted too deep they thrive and flower every year. So much for peonies being sensitive! Our main chunk of root stock must now be 70 odd years old. The stems are really strong and I don't even have to stake them. I look forward to them growing and flowering every year.
