Morning After The Night Before

After more heavy rain yesterday evening we kept to footpaths and surfaced bridleways on our walk today - to avoid getting wet and muddy boots and paws!

There is some significant damage to the wheat and barley crops - large areas flattened - hope they can get it in before too much more damage occurs.

We came across this horse who was standing motionless with his head hanging down and eyes closed - it looked as though he had a hangover and didn't want to move. Perhaps he was asleep - not sure if they sleep standing up though!
