Look! Squirrel!!!

I saw a red squirrel! This makes me very happy! I made a stop at the Loch of the Lowes on my long drive back toward London. I didn't see any ospreys (they've probably left on their migration as none have been seen since Saturday). I watched the small bird feeders for a while and was rewarded by several visits from a red squirrel. (Or maybe several red squirrels.)

This has been massively cropped as even with my maximum zoom, it was quite a long way away. Check out the extra photo - the raid on the peanuts involving climbing almost totally into the feed box!

I'm now on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. A last look at countryside before I go back to the city tomorrow.
