Lives in the Balance

Never one to partake in daily things, but today's Mono Monday. with it's balance theme seems to be just right for my Blip today.
'Where id the balance?' I hear you ask, well this old, long flower pot outside or dentist at Queens Cross in Aberdeen, with no plant life in it, only earth and litter, which you may think quite disgusting; but look closely. All the little, black specks are little worm type creatures, as are the thicker black ones.
Also, little tadpole type things, who jerk about, seemingly erratically  in the rain filled repository. 
Without the litter, these lives would be in the balance.
