Puzzle me this...

Another name for the Monkey Puzzle tree is the Chile Pine.
I think it should be called succulent star 'cos it's lush and pointy.

We went to Kellockbank Country Emporium today. That's grandiose speak for a garden centre with attached gift shop and tearoom. We had coffee and cake - George had the most humungous empire biscuit and I had a strawberry and white chocolate scone and it was lovely. I like Sundays where we potter around the local area, visiting the variety of coffee shops and cafes in the area.

The old stereotype of Aberdonians being tight is a myth, I can tell you. This part of the country has escaped the worst of the recession and oil workers spend like sailors. Local businesses take advantage of this and charge much higher prices than in other parts of the country. Which is OK if you work offshore. If you are an on-shore pen-pusher, it's not so good.

Hey ho. At least we can have good coffee and humungous empire biscuits.
And take photos of monkey puzzle trees.
