Autumn Spin

After picking up the wife early in the afternoon, we took the wean to the PLAYGROUND in Merrion Square (we had little choice really, as he had demanded we go there while we were passing. At the corner of the square, I dawdled after putting a ticket in the car, since the light was doing interestingly shifty things above the lampposts of FITZWILLIAM STREET.

Very Autumnal day, the damp paths mosaiced with UNSWEPT LEAVES. The playground was empty, except for a tall, well-dressed, youngish/middleaged man on one of the benches, smoking and having a long conversation on his mobile: a spook waiting for his contact perhaps.
