Support your local growers

Our local farm shop is a mile away from home. I walk past many times a week and we try to buy fresh produce from them when available.

The place is a little chaotic, run by a family of enthusiasts they try hard to have a little of everything. They visit local farmer's markets in their van selling the fruit of their labours. They have a huge collection of fruit trees and sell apples 'pick and mix'.

They have a collection of chickens, free range, they roam the nursery, pecking and scratching. Hence the warning to anyone who would pick up a hatchling.

The apple juice is the best you will ever taste.
