Late bloomer

This Fuchsia has previously over wintered without any difficulty. However last winter must have been a challenge for it as come spring there was no sign of life. I was very close to digging it out when small green shoots of life appeared. The first flowers only opened a few days ago but now it is blooming like mad.

I will take better care of it this winter and give it a straw blanket!
