Why.....

.... did I light the fire tonight?
Was it because
1. I wanted to check the rooks hadn't built a nest on our chimney
2. We had to use the coal before it went out of date
3. I wanted to practise cleaning out the ashes in the morning.
Or
4. It's been a horrible cold, grey, damp day up here and I lit it to cheer the dogs up.
