Carrick Castle

The tiny community of Carrick Castle lies at the mouth of Loch Goil , which itself is an offshoot of Loch Long.

It is within the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park and the Argyll Forest but this morning I was there to meet a group of residents about a controversial planning application that seems the antithesis of the present trend in land reform and community empowerment.
