Replica shooting butt

Today I was out with the drystone walling group and we were repairing a replica shooting butt at North Esk Reservoir in the Pentland Hills. I didn't realise that shooting of grouse still goes on in the Pentlands. You can see the information board in front of the butt. It states that this shooting is only for a few days of the year and is part of the "management" of the red grouse.

The air was thick with midges, but fortunately, I'd brought that magic stuff called Skin so soft.
