Today we took a tour of the city. Then a few of us wandered around Centrico Historico. It was great to finally see some of the city. The coolest thing was the Basílica del Voto Nacional. We climbed all the way to the top of the clock tower on the left. I took this from the opposite tower. To get to the top you crossed a plank walk way, climbed rebar rungs and tiny twisted stairs. Oh the benefits to a country with no liability laws. Between the clock towers is Virgen de Quito, which we visited in earlier in the day. The view was incredible. So very far away from the yellow and green balloons.
