Carlotta's Rain

Hurricane Carlotta made landfall just south of Acapulco sometime last night. We have not experienced much wind, but the rain started shortly after midnight and has kept going most of the day. We put a bucket out during the some of the heaviest rain and 14.5 cm fell in half an hour. Incredible. Our pool almost overflowed, the power was out for a couple of hours, and the street to the beach has a foot of water where there was once a drain. Pretty much standard for the first significant rain of the season.
