Co-evolution

I came across these angraecum sesquipedale orchids, aka Darwin's orchids, at the Kelston spring orchid show today. They had remarkably elongated spur. A very knowledgeable young chap at the show, told me that these orchids native to Madagascar are pollinated by a moth with very long proboscis capable of reaching the nectar at the bottom of the spur. Charles Darwin surmised the existence of such a moth 21 years before it was discovered; he was so certain about the correctness of his theory of evolution.
