Russell Island

Today I went to Russel Island to photograph a vacant block of land which is for sale. The block is reasonably large and you you be right to think there is a but coming. The but is that there is a small area at street level in which to build, then there is about a 8-10 meter drop down to the next level which gently slopes to the water. If you are able to clear the Mangroves then you will have water access.
The block has a reasonable amount of vegetation in the way of grass and weeds which need to be cleared.
You could build a 4 story home here. Two would be below the street level going down the the water, and then one at street level finally the one above. The block faces to the south across the bay.
Russell Island is one of four islands which are in Moreton Bay which are serviced by Queensland transport ferry service. The island has a population of about 2000 or so. The average age is around 60 years old. Based on web site searches.
However on the grey and over caste day the mural at the wharf was a highlight.
