Red Onions

Today I harvested my red onions.  It was easy getting them out of the ground, but it took a couple of hours getting the mud off and removing outer (withered) skins.  It was a satisfactory harvest of 6.5kgs.

Before uploading to Blip, I have just checked the price of loose red onions at a national supermarket (beginning with an S), and they cost only £1 per Kg.  So not worth growing then!

The jam I made (see blip 26 August) tasted awful.  I won't even give it away.
