Luminous

The Crocosmia appeared almost luminous in the low evening sun - one of the markers of the turning of the season. It was good to be back in the garden after four days of work and pleasure in north-west Lancashire, where there was remarkably little internet access, which meant that I got a lot of reading done! Inevitably, there are lots of photos to process, which I will eventually get around to backblipping.

This beautiful bloom seemed to be crying out to be blipped for Flower Friday, and its image was snatched quickly before we left for the Peterborough Beer Festival, my first visit despite having lived here for thirty years!
