Monster lens

This is my new (old) Nikkor 300 mm f/ 2.8 ED-IF lens. It was made some thirty years ago but is still going strong. To be precise; it has the same fantastic performance as when made. It is a razorsharp lens, even at 2.8. I love it. I bought it second hand at E-Bay in Germany. I read a remark of a pro about this lens saying; it is as if you are looking a whale in its mouth. And that's correct, if you want to buy a filter for it, you have to look for a 122 mm filter. By the way; ED stands for Super Low Dispersion Glas and IF means Internal Focus, so no moving parts on this lens. The only thing you have to learn is to focus manually, because auto-focus is the only thing this lens lacks.
