Verbascum

I wouldn't have known the name of this pretty flower if I hadn't seen the repeat of Gardeners' World early this morning .... not many advantages to waking early but I was rewarded today with a few more names for some of the flowers I see regularly on my walks but have no of their names.
This plant had very few flowers remaining on its tall stem ... guess the flowering season must be just about over.
