My Life With Luna

Bee on Scabious

I visited my brother and sister-in-law this afternoon to congratulate them on winning the Best Garden in Village for the third year running.
As was to be expected their cottage garden was looking beautiful and there was an abundance of all kinds of bees enjoying the flowers too.   I particularly liked this one contrasting well on the Scabious.   According to the Oxford dictionary the plant was formerly regarded as a cure for Scabies, the skin disease.
