Tales from the Allotment

The start of a lovely, and much needed, long weekend. As gluttons for punishment, we got up early and went to Ikea to buy a new chair and a few other bits for our home. We got stuck in traffic jams on the way home, which doubled our journey time. Mum came over whilst we ate a very late lunch and we then all went up to our allotment. This is it in all it's overgrown glory. It's going to take us months to get it under control; a project that's a bit daunting, but really exciting too. After a bit of work and clearing the ropey shed (we've named it The Crapshack), we all went for a well deserved shandy down on the quay before a very tasty dinner together, cooked by G.
