Jacky daw

Crossing a bridge into town this afternoon, my eye was caught by a trio of pigeons pecking lazily at a freshly strewn feast of breadcrumbs. Feathers flapped over the bread buffet, however, when a jackdaw abruptly swooped down out of the blue and began trying to half-inch their meal.
My hastily snapped shot captures the aftermath, with the pigeon on the left looking fat and content and the outnumbered jackdaw sulking on the far side, looking as though he can barely be bothered to dignify his bird-brained fellow diners with that brooding, black-cloaked presence.
