Brilliance Spotlighted

Today was the 4-mile run/walk Ka Iwi Coastline and we did it.  The sunlight breaking through was about an hour after the start (at) sunrise.  It stayed overcast, so it was a beautiful sight to see Diamond Head in full sun as we crested the hill for the walk down to finish at Maunalua Bay.  It was a benefit for preservation of the shoreline and Hui Nalo Canoe Club.  As you can see in the EXTRA, both lanes were closed to vehicular traffic for a good part of the course.    Enough moneys were raised earlier in the month to ensure purchase of the last parcels which will ensure no development is allowed and the Ka Iwi coastline remains conservation from outside Hanauma Bay to the lighthouse at Makapu'u.
PS:  Gave it my all, came in tail-end-Charlie.   It was the bum knee, it was.  Had to be said.
