Mutual entertainment

One of the best things about a fourteen month old is that he is easily entertained. One of the less good things is that his attention span is about as long as a hamster's. Today we practiced the concept of things being ON other things by repeated demonstration and verbalization, using two of his favorite things. That was entertaining for about two minutes and then the lesson had to be customized to include more wild action and catastrophe. In this scenario, that meant the cow getting launched as soon as the wind-up car flipped. Somehow, this concept lesson, like all the others, concluded with both things being tested for flight aerodynamics.

It has been rain, rain and more rain and high humidity, lucky us. It does make for excellent weeding, the ground being so soggy that is. It proves to me once again that what a garden needs is water and sun, lots of it. Things are exploding.
