Daily Life in the Bogs

In the meadow

If we were farmers like most in our neighborhood, we would probably mow and bale the meadow grasses. Since we're not, we enjoy the beauty of the wildflowers and seed heads dancing gracefully in the wind. The local wildlife enjoys the unmowed meadows as well. A mother deer and her fawn live in one section. A red fox has a den somewhere in another. Butterflies, moths, and honeybees flit around the meadows, spreading pollen from place to place, as the goldfinches get ready to feast on the thistle.
