Day at a Time

Kelso Abbey

Kelso is a lovely border town. Its abbey was founded in 1128 and largely destroyed during and after the Reformation. It's one of four in the borders, the others being Melrose, Dryburgh and Jedburgh. Cameraman blipped the Old Kirk.

Woke up to brilliant sunshine and lots of harvesting in and around Swinton. After another huge breakfast set off for home with a bit of a detour to Kelso and to see mum in Edinburgh.

My extra picture is Kelso Town Hall in the town square. What an elegant wee town.
