Pembrokeshire

Pembrokeshire is one of my favourite places. We were supposed to have a camping trip there in the last week of the holidays, but as the weather has been so bad, we had to content ourselves with a day out. We are lucky to live close enough to have a day trip.

Most of the photos are of Barafundle Bay, which is a beautifully unspoilt beach that you can only walk to - unless you have a boat that is, like Mr M and Young Master M. So while they were paddling round in the kayak, me and Miss M walked there with the dogs (sadly, Master M wasn't with us). The boys did some fishing on the way round and caught a few. We had a picnic on the beach and then headed back to Stackpole Quay for a coffee.

The late afternoon and evening were beautiful and we then went to one of our other favourite spots - Freshwater West (bottom right photo). We gave the dogs a good run on the beach, before going to a local pub with a sea view where we had food.

All in all, a fabulous day out.

Can't believe that tomorrow is the last day of the holidays. The summer has flown by!
