An Old Darlin'

Went to the little store in the village for quick cat food and look who was in the parking lot... good enough for Tractor Tuesday!
It must be @ 1950 Ford pickup... or a couple years earlier?
Someone is renewing the body for a nice paint job. It is licensed and has passed inspection for this year. It's legal to drive although it takes a strong arm to steer this kind of vehicle... no power steering here.
I was talking with a teenager while we were both having physical therapy. He has not yet taken driver's education. But soon as he is old enough (this year) he can get a permit to learn.
He dreams of owning a truck like this.
He only knows power steering and automatic transmissions. He talks about learning to drive a car with an automatic transmission as if it is a far distant legend of the past, like kitchens before refrigerators!
I drive an automatic and always have. I prefer the control. But now that I am aging I would like an automatic if I do ever get another car. Leary about all the electronic/computer chips etc. that can be so easily hacked-- Jeep, for instance.
Does one really need wifi in the car?
Well, here she is... drives like a tractor so on the blipscreen for Tractor Tuesday.
