Something in the air…

Happy first day of Autumn to you!!

As the sun was actually shining this morning, I thought I should honour this rare occasion and head out for a walk. There was definitely something autumnal in the air… And not just the weather. The trees are heavily laden with conkers and helicopters, the apple trees are bursting with fruit, and in the hedgerow I spied my first Blackberry of the season! My favourite time of year…

I'm not sorry to see the back of August, it's not been the best of months for various reasons... So as Keats said, let's hope that Autumn brings us some mellow fruitfulness, soft sunlit days and a rich harvest... :)
