New Coastguard helicopters

I saw two of these  helicopters coming in to land at RAF St. Athan this evening, and I am assuming that they are the new HM Coastguard choppers run by Bristow Helicopters Limited, which are due to replace the RAF and Royal Navy operated ones from the first of October this year. I think they are Augusta Westland AW-192 and are being operated on a 10 year, £1.6 Billion contract. I find it very disappointing that we have to use an American company to replace nearly 70 years of very successful  "home grown" search and rescue. I suppose its all down to the usual reason -  ££££££££££££'s
