Fetching Wood

Living for a week in a camping community is a pretty earthy existence where probably about half of waking life is spent chopping wood, carrying water, cooking and washing up, sitting around a fire talking to friends...the rest involves stuff like making music, trying to write haiku, wandering in the woods, learning how to tie knots, reading aloud, making and firing simple pots in an earth kiln, voice workshops and various forms of physical exercise not to mention a load of things I have forgotten...
oh yes, meetings...which are very much at the heart of the camp, every morning we meet in the white geodesic dome tent and talk about anything and everything of interest or concern - following a simple and powerful form which has evolved out of Scott Peck and others' work on community building and conflict resolution...
After over twenty years of doing this together, we are starting to get the hang of it...

There are several backblips of my week at the camp, starting  from:

The Lonesome Pine
and following pages if you haven't seen them...
