Akureyri Hot Dog

Hot dog in eyeslandic is 'pylsa', but since it's pronounced 'pulsa' in some parts of the country a few people have started spelling it that way. The local hot dog stand in front of the swimming hall bypasses this problem by offering both pylsa and pulsa, whatever you prefer. They also offer the regional speciality 'Eyfirðingurinn', named after the fjord in which Akureyri lies. It's a hot dog with sauteed red cabbage. Not to meye taste but lots of people like it.
