The Ibis are back in full force. They live in large colonies (counted in the Everglades was a colony of 30,000!). This morning, while enjoying coffee on the deck, I counted 30, including 8 juveniles and 5 yearlings.
Mating season is starting and these lovely white birds (along with Night Herons and Wood Storks) who mate for life, choose this area for their nesting.
I was lucky enough to catch this mating ritual...
