View from the Crossing Keeper's Hut

Not the most exciting of railway shots but I've already posted many blips of trains storming up the bank from Rolvenden and over the crossing or drifting down the bank from Tenterden, so I'll spare you another variation on a familiar theme.

The cloudscape was very impressive today, with a clear atmosphere and towering cumulus which developed into showers later in the afternoon.

It was the usual routine in at the crossing. Bell goes, open gate, signal train through, close gate, wave to motorists and retire to the hut for tea, coffee, bun, read, snooze until the next train came calling.
