ODD VISITORS

After seeing mostly sparrows and finches at the feeder, it was exciting to have a cardinal and downy woodpecker stop by at the same time.  Their eating styles are so different:  the cardinal always has his mouth full with the seed hulls flying all over the place, while the downy takes one seed at a time to a tree branch and pecks out the heart of the seed.  Interesting!
