The Queen's Tree

This magnificent River Red Gum was planted here in Kings Park Perth on the 27th March 1954 by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll.

For the 2015 Wildflower Festival the Park Curators have dressed the tree as the Queen and she is a hugely popular success!! :o)

Many other trees were also 'dressed' for the occasion and looked fantastic. Of course the wildflowers were spectacular and I've added my version of the heavenly pink clouds of everlasting flowers which are in fine form this year!

I was determined to get there early as parking is always a problem but at 7.30am it was a breeze! It was a beautiful sunny and mild day and I had a wonderful morning of wandering in wonder and taking so many photos it was just crazy!! :))
