Over the sea - in 1633!

This is one of my favourite perennials, which looks amazing with the late afternoon sun behind it. 

Canadian Burnet is a late-flowering perennial which occurs throughout North America and was first introduced to Britain from Canada in 1633! Should be well-known by now!

Sanguisorba canadensis grows to around 5ft high and doesn't usually need staking, though in some windy autumns it gets blown about.
