Rainy season

The UK has a big reputation around the world for being rainy, even here in Saigon. I'm asked about the rain more than it being cold back home. Yet it rains here frequently and with some force (this photo from today doesn't do justice to how heavy the rain was or the strength of the wind). Anyway, I decided to look up some numbers (from the Met Office and Wikipedia) and do some mythbusting...

London has an average annual rainfall of 601.7mm compared with Saigon which has 1931mm (221% more).
London has an average of 109.5 days of rainfall every year, Saigon has 155.6 days (42.1% more).
