What the Green Man for crossing roads is called. 

In the old DDR they were different to what was shown in the west.  They had hats for a start.

On the base of this you can read "25 Jahre Deutsche Einheit", that's 25 years of German Unity. 

It seems incredible to me that 25 years have passed so quickly.

I spent the afternoon with my QSM at the Taunusstraßenfest.  They should run it with the motto "Spend some time here and leave feeling slightly disappointed". 

That's exactly what we did.

But we went to a nice café afterwards and had our version of Kaffee & Kuchen.  Lots of blethers (there's a good Scotish word for you) - quasseln oder quatschen would be a German equivalent. 

And all of a sudden it was 6:30.
